This summarises what the Emergency Planning Officer of Broadland D.C. and colleagues will be outlining at “Norfolk Prepared” – a meeting to be held on Tuesday, 15th May at 2.00 p.m. at Blofield Courthouse, Yarmouth Road, Blofield. All are invited to hear local planning for emergencies great and small that may affect any of us. Free entry though NB seating is limited to the first 50 people who arrive! Highways England have published draft plans for the dualling at North Burlingham. The design now features a flyover at the White House junction
As a result of major signal remodelling, lines will be closed between Norwich and Great Yarmouth & Norwich and Lowestoft for 9 days from Saturday 10 – Sunday 18 February 2018 (inclusive).
Lines will also be closed between Beccles and Lowestoft Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 & Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February 2018.
Buses will replace trains for between Norwich and Great Yarmouth & Norwich and Lowestoft for a full 9 days commencing Saturday 10 February. Services will return to normal running commencing Monday 19 February. In addition, buses will also replace trains between Beccles and Lowestoft Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 & Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February.
This is just a draft layout of how the site might look. At present the owners, Norfolk County Council, are only seeking outline permission for the site. Detailed applications will be submitted at a later date:
